Armstrong, a long-time Denver sports columnist and talk-show host, knows what sports fans want. Hooper has been at Bender's since back in the day, when it was known as Jackson's Hole. Yet somehow, she hasn't aged a day. She is Bender's woman for all seasons -- part patron saint, part den mother and full-time piece of work. Stop by and see her some time. When you do, look up from the bar and you'll see the sign that says it all: ''HOOPER ST'.  

Armstrong, a University of Wisconsin grad and card-carrying college football junkie, has turned weekends at Bender’s into football nirvana. Fans can watch games morning, noon and night on 26 big screens, including our signature 70-incher. And no other bar on the Turnpike can match our viewing options. We have the Big Ten Network, the Pac 12 Network and ESPN Game Plan, giving us dozens of games every Saturday that can’t be seen on the mainstream networks, including many CU games that have aired exclusively on the Pac 12 Network.
