Meet John Moodie

"During my years of college at ASU, I turned into a rock hound. One of my favorites was Turquoise. Soon I learned how to cut and polish stones. Gaining experience, I frequently visited several Indian Reservations in Arizona to buy and trade jewelry and stones. That's when my Indian friends gave me the nickname 'White Dove'.

Needless to say, when I had to come up with a name for my business, the choice was easy. After learning silversmith techniques, I began to sell my work to local stores and friends. Things went well and I took several courses in jewelry creation, gemology and design. I moved to California in 1974 and was a "street artist" in the San Francisco wharf area. I opened my first store in Burlingame in 1975. A few years ago I relocated to Belmont, where I'm enjoying meeting new clients and offering my expertise."
