Dorn's Breakers Cafe, located at 801 Market Ave in Morro Bay, CA 93442 is a locally owned and operated breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner cafe open since 1942.

Originally Breakers Cafe, it was purchased in 1948 by New York Native Harry Amsel, upon visiting and falling in love with the town. Thereafter, a reputation was over time established among the locals of excellent service, food in general, and especially fresh local seafood.

After some time, a host at the restaurant and student at Cal Poly, Dan Dorn, became smitten with Harry's daughter, Nancy. After the couple married, they purchased the cafe, and in 1966, Dorn's Breakers Cafe came to be, taking up the standard of warm family service and incredible food the original Breakers was known for.

Since then, that very standard has been passed on to the third generation of their family through their son Chris Dorn, and all that Dorn's was, simply continues to be--a wonderful restaurant with, somehow, an even better view.
