Stokes Aircraft Service is named in honor of Victor Stokes Browning Jr., the father of one of the principals.  Born in 1935, Stokes has a rich family history in Western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina. His love for aviation and dedication to his family was inspirational in naming the FBO at Marchman Field.
