Each session of Embroidery Club is full of embroidery designs, projects and ideas that can be used on garments, home dec, kid stuff and more. You will receive full color direction sheets for several projects as well as original designs on a diskette or your own flash drive in your particular machine's format. No need to download from the Internet or convert designs. During this fun lecture-demo class you will also learn helpful hints on embroidering and hooping techniques, stabilizers, marking and new products. Bring your own projects for “show and tell" and there is always a chance to win a door prize. Classes meet three times every other month with a morning, evening and weekend session for your convenience.

Let Ann and Deb show you or renew your knowledge of the how 2’s of embroidering. A set of 3 monthly classes will be as follows:
MONTH 1: Proper and Accurate placement of embroidery designs on garments using the templates that are available with your embroidery machine
MONTH 2: Learn how to make a piece of fabric into a quilted piece of fabric and then create a casserole hot dish cozy.
MONTH 3: Creating cutwork on a piece of fabric to create a bun warmer cover or napkin

In this 2 month class session you will be using your lettering knowledge and techniques as follows:
MONTH 1: POEM
Type your poem in Word, copy & paste it into 4D or 5D to apply on fabric for a pillow or just frame it.
MONTH 2: YOUR SUGGESTIONS
Is there anything you haven’t comprehended or unsure of how to do. Is there a technique you would liked explained and /or demonstrated? There will be a suggestion box available in the store for you to put in your request for Deb and Marlene to review. At their discretion, they will select a request and walk thru it from A to Z.
- 4D/5D CROSS STITCH

Once you’ve scanned in that cross-stitch charted design, you then have to know how to line it up and fill in the stitches, create borders, and use lettering for your designs.

Small projects and short Block of the Month projects will be the focus. Professional speakers will be coming in to give small lecture/demos and will be eager and willing to answer all your quilting questions. Are you thinking of trying your hand at quilting? Beginners, intermediate, and advanced quilters are welcome. Show & Tell is a delight every month, so please come and share your creations with all of us.

No passports required! BORDER BLAST, the first Thimbleberries project for 2011, is on display and waiting for you oh’s and awe’s. The signup sheets are eagerly waiting for your name, and the kitchen is open and ready to start preparations for each months Thimbleberries recipe that we serve. All new books, patterns, kits and fabrics from Thimbleberries will be at your disposal for viewing and purchasing.
A mystery quilt project will be introduced, hands-demos will be presented and Show & Tell will be conducted. A chair is waiting for you, so pack up that sewing machine, grab YOUR Show & Tell and haul your enthusiasm over to our classroom and become a member of one of the neatest clubs.

Do you know someone who enjoys playing with the popular 18” doll or the 15” baby doll? We can help you keep them dressed. Sew outfits for them and have a treat while doing it. We meet the Third Thursday morning or the Wednesday evening before.
