Back In Session!

Built in 1904 and listed in the Pueblo register of historic places and landmarks, the building is significant for it’s association with early newspaper publishing in Pueblo, when The Pueblo Star Journal and The Pueblo Chieftan were rival publications. Since 1937 the building became legendary as one of Pueblo’s favorite watering holes and was simply known as “The Senate” due to all of the politicians that frequented the building. Today, the outlook for the future of Pueblo is promising. Developers are creating a 15 million dollar, 26-acre urban waterfront riverwalk. The riverwalk features walking trails, public spaces for art and entertainment and retail opportunities. The Senate Bar is in the heart of this historic and newly rejuvenated neighborhood and will be an exciting historical themed dining establishment and lounge. The menu will be inspired from new and traditional American and Spanish specialties, Pueblo favorites and appeal to a diverse clientele.
