Adams Homes History
Founded in 1991 by Wayne Adams, Adams Homes started serving homebuyers in Pensacola, Florida. Throughout the 1990's and early 2000's, Adams Homes grew its business into markets throughout Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Since 2005, Adams Homes has expanded into markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Our headquarters is located in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
In 1991, when Wayne Adams founded Adams Homes, he drew from more than a decade of real estate and residential construction experience to formulate the company's core principles:
- You're only as good as the people with whom you surround yourself.
- Keep it simple.
- Treat people as you would want to be treated.
These core principles have enabled Adams Homes to become one of the largest, privately-held homebuilders in the country and are the foundation for Adams Homes' Philosophy, Culture and Mission.
The Adams Homes Philosophy on New Homes
Adams Homes believes that a homebuilder should offer buyers a home that already includes what most homeowners would want in their home. A home that the buyer can purchase for the price that it is advertised for, without adding any upgrades, and move into without sacrifice or need for immediate upgrading. Adams Homes does not believe in "up selling" homebuyers on upgrades that are really a standard expectation for most home owners. By adhering to this strategy, we are able to deliver value to buyers and have a happy homeowner at the end of the experience. While other builders may seek additional profits through a basic home offering that is "stripped to the bone" with the plan to up-sell, we feel a more straight-forward approach with our customers will benefit everyone in the end.

Finding Your Dream Home
Decide on an Area(s): As a starting point, search for an area(s) that you believe most fits your needs based on your criteria, such as proximity to work, entertainment, family, friends, and desired schools. Contact a Sales Associate: Once you have narrowed down to a few possible locations, contact the Sales Associate Team Member at the phone number listed on the community page of our Website or contact us to schedule a time to visit the community and model home.
Model Home Appointment: When you visit the Sales Associate at the model home, please be prepared for the Sales Associate to ask you many questions regarding your current living situation and future living needs and desires. These questions are necessary for the Sales Associate to assist you in choosing the right home plan, area, home site, and home features. While you are the only decision-maker in the process, our Sales Associates are very helpful in guiding you through the decision-making process. A few questions to consider in advance of your visit are the following:

What is it about your current living situation that you like? What do you not like?

Are any near term changes expected, like a new family member, a child leaving for college, or the need for a home office?

What is a comfortable budget for you for monthly home payments, including mortgage payments, insurance, taxes, and HOA?

By considering these few questions in advance, you will be well on your way. If you have not already obtained a pre-qualification from a lender, we will be happy to put you in contact with one of our approved lenders to help establish which level of home investment best fits your current budget.

Once you found your dream home and established an acceptable investment amount, your Sales Associate will prepare your purchase agreement and the building process will begin.

Adams Homes Zero Defect Policy
In a continuing effort towards 100% customer satisfaction, Adams Homes implements a Zero Defect Policy*. This policy is intended to limit after closing issues with your home by striving to deliver every home with zero outstanding items prior to Settlement. While some builders may allow you to move into your home with the idea that the builder will ‘take care’ of your punch list after closing, Adams Homes believes the homebuyer is protected by completing these items prior to Settlement. While this policy may cost Adams Homes more time and money, we believe that we will be rewarded by our customers’ praise and referrals based on this policy.
