We are a 414-bed, 32-bassinet, acute-care hospital with campuses in New Britain & Southington. Also a UCONN teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient & outpatient services in general medicine & surgery and a wide variety of specialties.

- Hospital: HCC is accredited by The Joint Commission, a national healthcare quality organization.
- Bariatric surgery: HCC’s Center for Bariatric Surgery has been designated a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
- Breast care: Comprehensive breast program accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
- Cancer care: Accreditation as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Cancer.
- Cardiac care: HCC’s All Heart Cardiac Rehabilitation was the first cardiac rehabilitation program in Connecticut and is accredited by the American Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Environmental efforts: HCC has been recognized for efforts to reduce waste, recycle and prevent pollution, most recently with a Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection GreenCircle Award, 2009.
- Sleep disorders: Sleep Disorders Center accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
- Stroke care: Advanced certification by The Joint Commission and designation by the Connecticut Department of Public Health as a Primary Stroke Center. Silver Plus Performance Achievement Award for stroke care through Get With The Guidelines®, an American Heart Association/American Stroke Association quality improvement program.
