Medicare Qualifications for Power Mobility:

• Equipment required to assist you in your home.
• Equipment required for MRADLs, Mobility Related Activities of Daily Living
• Equipment required to perform MRADLs in a timely manner and in customary locations within the home.
• Equipment required to prevent falls, injuries, morbity.

It will help you get around in your kitchen to prepare a meal, help you get to the bathroom quickly to prevent accidents, help keep you safe, prevent falls and help you stay at home instead of a nursing home, assisted living, etc...

• Power Chairs have a smaller turning radius
• Power Chairs have a 1 hand control vs a tiller (similar to handle bars) requiring 2 hands to operate
• Power Chair batteries last longer
• Power Chairs are usually better quality equipment
• Power Chairs are programmable, the equipment can be programmed to go slow, acceleration, deceleration, turning, adjusted for people who experience tremors, etc...
• Power Chairs come with a comfortable high back captains seat which has a height adjustable head rest and adjustable back rest similar to a front seat in a vehicle
• The joystick used to drive the power chair can be mounted on the left or right side
• We can add an Oxygen Bracket, ELRs (Elevating Leg Rests), Pressure Relieving/Positioning Cushion to brevent skin breakdown (bed sores) and we can add a mushroom ball, t-bar, carrot stick, etc... if you are having difficulty using the standard small joystick
• The captains seat comes in multiple sizes to accomodate your specific size
