When Gritty's Portland Brew Pub opened in 1988 it became Maine's first brew pub since prohibition and a leader in the state's microbrew revolution. Located just down Route 1 from Maine's best outlets, Gritty's Freeport Brew Pub and Restaurant is a great destination for the whole family. Our menu features everything from New England classics, to pub fare, pizza, innovative entrees, fresh seafood and more. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on our expansive deck. The spacious deck features the best riverfront views in town, and our glass-enclosed, storefront brewery brings the working of a true pub brewery right to Main Street.
