The menu offers a wide variety of selections such as:

appetizers - whole boil crawfish, nachos, fried cauliflower and fried greenbeans

sandwiches - philly cheese steak, patty melt, po' boys, pulled pork, burgers

specialty items - gumbo, red beans and rice, salads, wraps

dinner - pork chops, steaks, shrimp, froglegs, catfish and chicken  

 

 

 The Bayou Bar & Grill LLC was established in October 2005 by Bill and Linda Wooten. The Cajun themed restaurant had been the life long dream of Bill who lived in Louisiana for many years and developed a love for Cajun food.

  

The Bayou is located in the small town of Pocahontas, Missouri with a population of approximately 120 people and also Linda's hometown where she was raised. The restaurant draws a regular customer base from a 40 mile radius and can double the population of the small town on any given evening.

 

The menu offered at the Bayou has a variety of dishes aimed to please every customer. Starting with appetizers, we have everything from whole crawfish to fried green beans to a Gator Creator sampler platter. All sandwiches are served po'boy style; on toasted hoagie buns. These could include the Bayou burgers which are hand pattied daily with fresh ground beef to blackened chicken or pulled pork. A more unusual dish is the frog legs and ranks in popularity with the fried catfish dinner. Some more authentic dishes include gumbo and red beans & rice. We also offer a variety of desserts to finish off your meal.
