Award winning photographer Rachel Rausch Johnson received her first camera at age 13. Growing up, she traveled through Asia, the Middle East, England and Europe with her family. Her mother was a model and professional singer, and she encouraged Rachel to pursue artistic interests.

Rachel studied with award winning photographer Bobbi Lane, who has taught at several prestigous academic institutions around the country such as: The Santa Fe Workshops, The Maine Workshops, the Julia Dean Workshops and the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City.

Rachel loves shooting weddings. The more she does, the more she wants to do. She approaches each one as a unique romantic experience, and seeks out the beauty, life and spirit of those moments. She also takes pride in designing handmade wedding albums.

Rachel's skills include graphic arts, drawing, portrait studio lighting, and location photography. She also enjoys desert spring wildflowers in the SoCal deserts, swing dancing with her husband, taking in a rock or jazz show, cooking up a storm for friends at home, sampling the latest single-sourced dark chocolate, and stargazing. Rachel and her husband Eric recently relocated to Renton, WA, and she travels often between her studios here and in Southern California.
