Urban Oaks is a working farm and as such, there is always a lot to do. Volunteers are welcome and participate in just about every facet of organic farming; and they are offered discounts at the Farmstand. If you love working with plants, enjoy the exercise that gardening or farm work offers (doctors say it’s the most versatile and the best exercise program), or you just want to work outside, give Claudine our volunteer coordinator, an email:urbanoaks@earthlink.net

We are looking for committed individuals dedicated to the principles behind sustainable farming, community organizing and education to lend their talents as members of our volunteer board of directors. Interested in learning more? Contact the farm at 860-223-6200 or email urbanoaks@earthlink.net

Veggie Bucks
“Veggie Bucks” is a Urban Oaks C.S.A. program.
When you subscribe to the Veggie Bucks program you are helping the farm with support that we need to grow. Veggie Bucks members receive vouchers that they can spend at the farm all year long. There are no deadlines or expirations dates and you can spend the Bucks on anything we have to offer for sale (fruit, veggies, seedlings, meat, cheese, you name it). By participating in our Veggie Bucks CSA program you literally become (in the words of Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini) a co-producer.
Veggie Bucks also make great gifts!
