The New Braunfels Railroad Museum
The Railroad Museum is located in a restored, Victorian station on active Union Pacific main line tracks. It has a variety of railroad displays, including HO and N Scale model train layouts, a real MOPAC caboose, a saddle-tank steam engine and a 60' "Missouri Pacific' Box Car.
The Museum is open to the public Thursday through Monday from Noon to 4pm. The fully restored Boyle Bond Dining Car is available for kids of all ages for private parties, meetings, gatherings and other functions. Many local residents have been hosting their kids' birthday parties in the Dining Car, after all, what kid doesn't love trains?
The Museum members have completed building a new model railroad which will be an addition to their famous traveling model, 'Where Kids Run the Train'. Stay tuned, Kids Fun Days will be starting soon!
The Railroad Museum is also available, both during normal operating hours and by special appointment for group or school tours. Please call ahead for groups of 20 or more, and for tours not during normal open times.
