Welcome to the Thalia Surf Shop. Here we strive to bring you the best, most unique surfing apparel we can get our hands on. We're not limited to just cool retro surfing t shirts however, we've also stocked ourselves with hard to find surfboards, board shorts, Japanese wetsuits, flip flops, surfing dvds, trucker hats and much more. By dealing directly with the artists and small, independent companies, we continue to bring you the products you won't find everywhere else. We believe that a surfing lifestyle is one that goes past big logos and senseless graphics that pander to the norm, so instead we've searched high and low for those companies that agree with us and focus more on art, real graphic design, and the true surf culture. These are the creators, not imitators, and they help to define what our surf shop is all about: style, originality, and soul.

Sorry, we’re getting ready for the big tradeshow in Vegas, so to keep in the winning spirits, thought we’d post up some recent pics of our latest Quiver Winner: James from Arizoooooona! Now, we know that nobody is ever stoked to see photos of a person holding 3 free, brand new boards that could’ve, should’ve, would’ve been theirs, but seriously…what a quiver to just randomly show up at your door! Thanks James, for stealing all of our dreams. Wish we could rig our own contests so that we could win…

Vans by Thalia Surf Sign Install

We employed the woodworking of Laguna Beach local, Ryan Gourley to handmake the new Vans by Thalia Surf sign. Designed by shop friend Jeff Canham, Gourley was able to use all recycled wood for the project. Come on by and check it out for yourself!

Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational: Santa Cruz, CA

Shop manager Corey recently travelled up to Santa Cruz, CA to witness the first Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational to hit the West Coast. It took place at the legendary Steamers Lane. A perfect 6-8ft swell hit the day the contest started, it was epic. Check out some of the photos Corey shot, along with some photos that Nolan Hall took along the way too.

Vans x Andy Davis Release Party Photos

Vans celebrated the launch of a collaboration on Wednesday, February 2 with San Diego-based surf artist Andy Davis at Vans by Thalia Surf Shop in Laguna Beach. The event spotlighted Vans x Andy Davis footwear and apparel and featured limited edition prints and t-shirts, as well as a selection of new works by Andy himself. The party, which also celebrated Andy’s birthday, featured a funky set by DJ Haggo along with 200 or so good friends including Tanner, Dane and Pat Gudauskas, Alex Knost, Chris Del Moro, Tyler Warren, Robbie Kegel, Mitch Abshere, Kyle Lightner, Manny Caro and artist Harry Daily. An after-party at the Marine Room Tavern with live music from The Entrance Band completed the night.
Vans by Thalia Surf Shop, which is adjacent to Thalia’s South Coast Highway shop, melds Vans’ heritage with Thalia’s bohemian beach culture in what is Vans’ first ever boutique surf partnership. The shop showcases a continuously evolving mix of Vans surf footwear and apparel including limited edition shoes and Joel Tudor signature apparel. Vans by Thalia Surf Shop is located at 911 South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, CA.
