Designer and visionary for Left Turn, Judy Klimek is responsible for all design, production, and quality control functions. On any given day, you will find Judy working in her Laguna Beach workshop creating a variety of necklace designs, sometimes reworking a single piece 10 times until it feels just right.
Judy also oversees the purchasing of gemstones, meeting one-on-one with a network of dealers and buyers to find unique gemstones that have become the signature of Left Turn. In fact, Judy’s buyers travel to Asia and South America as much as five times a year finding the quality gemstones that makes Left Turn necklaces extraordinary.
She brings 25 years of gemstone necklace design and GIA training to Left Turn. In her previous work life, Judy built a highly successful multi-million dollar electronics component business, managed hundreds of people and serviced customers all over the world.
Judy’s strong commitment and passion brings beautiful gemstone necklaces to customers who want something different, something unique and something interesting. After traveling the world, Judy could not find Left Turn quality necklaces anywhere, so she decided to build them herself. True to her company name, Judy has decided to take a Left Turn. Lindsay Albanese, stylist and celebrity columnist for US Magazine and Life & Style, hosted the 68TH Annual Golden Globe Award Hospitality Suite this past weekend. Our very own Chic Little Devil representative in Los Angeles outfitted Lindsay, in which she looked absolutely fabulous in Left Turn’s Helen of Troy, of vintage Tibetan Turquoise and Bronze beads and a 400 carat rough cut aquamarine pendant.
Lindsay spoke with hot celebs like Kyle Richards from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Rex Lee from Entourage.

Hi friends! It’s been a while but I have been working on some great designs that are both edgy and fun. I wanted to take this chance to tease a few pictures of the New Orleans Collection! Actress Jodelle Ferland, who plays Bree Tanner (the vampire that Stephanie Meyer’s new novella is based on) rocking the red carpet at the Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere last night wearing Left Turn Earrings! This premiere was one of the biggest premieres of the year!!
Jodelle was nominated for an Emmy at 4 years old and has since been in a string of over 50 films, including this blockbuster.

The Cannes Film Festival turned out to be a great event for Left Turn. Our jewelry was worn at the big events around town and we even got featured on MTV! Our La Belle de Cannes Collection, as well as some of my favorite pieces, were introduced to the European fashion media and were a hit with everyone that came into the style studio at the Palais Miramar. Very exciting! With the Cannes Film Festival behind us, I’m looking forward to a very busy month of June.
Our “Fabulous Jewels and Fresh Organics” summer trunk show with Kimberly Parry Organics is going to be fantastic! We’ll be featuring our new “Bare it All Collection” while Kimberly will introduce her toxin free organic skin care and body products. The show is set for June 24th at the Left Turn Gallery. Left Turn has officially gone international! Our newest collection debuts with the opening of the Cannes Film Festival today. We’ve named it “La Belle de Cannes” to celebrate the film festival and Left Turn’s participation in it. The look and feel of the collection recalls the glamorous Golden Age of Hollywood and I had a great time designing the collection, imagining how the necklaces would have looked on some of the stars of that time.
My personal favorites are Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe, Katharine, and Audrey Hepburn. The La Belle de Cannes collection was created with these wonderful women in mind. The necklaces and earrings are infused with some of my favorite and most vibrant gemstones including tourmaline, sky blue topaz, and sapphires. If you’re not familiar with these stones you can see them in our collections on the site. They are GORGEOUS!
And last but certainly not least, I would like to say “Thank you” to all the new and old friends of Left Turn who stopped by our trunk show at the Montage Resort with Oscar de la Renta over the Mother’s Day weekend. Your support helped us have one of our most successful shows ever!
