The European Bakery features 15 varieties of breads and rolls, cookies, doughnuts, pastries and sweet breads.

The European bakery started business in 1913 with home delivery of breads. Today, European Bakery sells to restaurants and retail outlets and to walk-in customers.The European Bakery is still at its original location at 622 Page Ave. 

The European Bakery boasts a 12-foot, square, coal-fed oven built from thousands of bricks. The oven burns several tons of coal per month and can hold 300 loaves of bread at one time.

Originally founded by Polish immigrants, paczki is also a big seller at European Bakery. The paczki tradition dates back hundreds of years ago when Polish Catholics made the pastries to use up remaining baking ingredients on the days leading up to Lent.
