Worthington Federal Bank traces its history back to 1989 with the founding of Worthington Mortgage Group. We became one of the few locally headquartered community financial institutions upon receiving our Federal Thrift charter in May 2007. Our first branch opened in July 2007 and we moved into our new state-of-the-art headquarters building in October 2009.

The bank is regulated by the Office of Thrift Supervision (the "OTS") and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (the "FDIC"). Deposit accounts are insured up to the regulatory limits by the FDIC. Based on its regulatory capital ratios, the Bank is considered "Well Capitalized".
