The Andreo Family business started with ‘Andy's Market’ in 1951 on the corner of Main Street and Maple Street in East Hartford as started by Andy Andreo Sr, John’s Father.

Fresh out of college John tried to pursue a career in Accounting but hated crunching numbers in his cubicle all day long. Being a people person John missed the social aspect of human contact. He missed the satisfaction of helping out experienced as a young boy and soon re-joined the family business. 

In 1979 the family opened their Simsbury store on 836 Hopmeadow Street where John worked alongside his brother Andy managing the day to day business. Later John took over the family liquor stores while Andy stayed behind to manage the ‘market’. 

Today John manages and owns the ‘Valley Fine Wine and Spirits’ opened in 2005.  His brother, Mike manages and owns the sister store ‘Putnum Plaza Super Liquors’ in East Hartford opened in 1969. 

Alongside his father John, Jr. often helps out at the ‘Valley Fine Wine and Spirits’ while perusing a medical field after graduating from UCONN in 2009.  

With helpful staff and friendly customer service they have been able to maintain the good business values that Andy Sr. set forth in his first store in 1951 and look forward to be serving you for the next 50 years.
