Morningside Recovery Center is an exclusive addiction and dual diagnosis treatment center providing drug and alcohol rehab, and mental health and dual diagnosis services. We specialize in alcohol and drug addiction treatment coupled with mental illness such as treatment for depression and other co-occurring disorders.  Our mental health treatment center offers a variety of programs to help provide individuals and families afflicted with alcoholism and drug addiction with the support needed for the recovery process to occur.

Usually the goal in drug rehab or alcohol rehab is to simply teach the client how to get through life without drinking and using. While this goal is critical it really needs to go further than that. At Morningside our goals are indeed abstinence from drug addiction and alcoholism, but also to get to the root causes for the need to drink or use drugs. Those root causes might include medicating other mental health treatment issues like depression, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar treatments, anxiety, stress, and other co-occurring or dual diagnosis disorders. In addition, improving self-esteem, establishing a sense of purpose and formulating a sense of community and identity through work, school, family and recovery solidifies a sustainable lifestyle of recovery.

Morningside programs present a continuum of care that starts with stabilization and moves each client to a place of responsibility for their recovery and then focuses on solidifying that lifestyle.  In the later phases of Morningside’s programs, there is a heavy focus on restructuring daily living skills through our Transitional Employment Program, College Recovery Program, Dual Diagnosis Program, Family Program, and Aftercare Program.

Morningside Recovery is dedicated to providing exceptional care for chemical dependency and dually diagnosed adult men and women.  Our staff and treatment philosophy supports a process for growth through phases of treatment.  Sustainable recovery can happen if an internal shift can occur and a new external lifestyle can develop.  We believe each person can recover from addiction while learning how to manage mental and/or emotional stability.  We are committed to helping each individual achieve complete abstinence and an improved sense of emotional and mental well-being.

Our Approach to Treatment

Our treatment approach blends traditional medical and psychological therapies, as well as experiential and integrative therapies, with real-world living, return to school or work programs, and family systems recovery.  Morningside has developed a program model that is one of the few truly personalized approaches available.  Each client and family member is invited to participate in developing a treatment plan that addresses the varying needs of those struggling to overcome the complications of addiction and mental and emotional disorders.

Morningside Recovery is a member of NAATP (National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers). Also affiliated with AIS (Association of Interventionist Specialists) and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Morningside Recovery is devoted in helping not only our residents in finding a clear path to recovery and understanding drug addiction, but also with providing hope and understanding to the families and friends of those suffering from alcoholism, co-occurring disorders, and/or drug addiction.
