Proceeds
Thrift store proceeds are used to support projects of The Lutheran Home Association. Since our opening in 1999, more than $300,000 has been raised to support projects benefiting our residents at The Lutheran Home Campus in Belle Plaine. We have been proud to help the campus with renovations, furnishings, safety and therapy equipment, recreational equipment and Christmas gifts for our residents.
Thank you for your support!
Volunteer Opportunities:Whether you have a few hours each month or a few days each week to sort donations, price clothing, stock shelves, straighten racks, or work a cash register, give us a call at (952) 873-6901 to become one of our 2010 volunteers.
Did you know that one or two hours a week means the world to a business like ours? It would not be difficult to “adopt” a section of clothing which you would check for missing tags, tidy up, put into the right size, sort by color, close a button or snap, zip a zipper, turn the hangers in one direction, etc. You would soon be proud of “owning” an area of the store and helping us be the best we can be!
Volunteers do make a difference! There is always a need for more help to assist approximately 55 volunteers already in place and volunteering anywhere from once a month to three, four, five times a week.
Come on in and allow us an opportunity to show you around. We'll explain some of the jobs and introduce you to other volunteers already having a good time.
We have the following positions open:
Right now we could use volunteers to help get clothing priced and steamed/ironed to get onto the sales floor more quickly. Clothing is usually sorted into pricing boxes to make things flow more quickly and easily for our volunteers. We appreciate any amount of time you can give us. Bring a friend along!
At Home to Home Thrift Store we are proud of our volunteer staff!
